Cry Me A River, Drink Me A Brewery.

This was Tetley's Brewery yesterday, source of delicious, burnt caramel-flavoured bitter, with the golden-copper colour that tastes like frozen apples on a hot day when the beer is cold.

Apparently it isn't trading as Carlsberg-Tetley anymore, only 'Carlsberg'.
It is also very likely that they will close the brewery in a couple of years.

As the Kaiserchiefs say, 'Everything Is Average Nowadays'.

Avoid alcohol. It makes everything worse.

I like alcohol. It releases stress when used sensibly.
As for that idiot in the Telegraph, Heffer, talking about locking up dope smokers, I know several and while it is harmful, they are definitely not the subjects of some fifties public information reefer madness.

Alcohol and marijuana are unhealthy. Life is much better without them.

Actually, life is better with them.

Life is shorter with them.

Depends.
If you're a member of AA like my old dad was, life would definitely be shorter.
Alcohol kills alcoholics.
But I'm not an alcoholic.
I just like a steady, regular beer for a couple of hours when I finish work, certainly less than a six-pack, and then only ordinary beer.
Wine is said to be a large part of the Mediterranean Diet, which leads to long life, low heart disease and relative freedom from Alzheimers.(Beer doesn't help against the latter). This is together with Tomatoes, Olive Oil and Garlic.
Gosh.
I'm feeling hungry now.
More coffee, and maybe a curry.
