You Exshpect Me To Talk?

No, mister Bond. I expect you to adopt Linux like me.
Why?
Ever since I found myself receiving the attention of the doctors, I vowed that I would find a way to kick down the walls surrounding me in a foaming sea of frustration, to find true liberty, to somehow integrate my efforts.

And as you can see, after two heavy days, I am fully functional and in possession of a network server which eats up the files of mere 'Windows' computers like a hot knife passing through butter.
Bwwwahahahahahaha!

Microsoft doesn't like Linux.
Linux has been forcing down its flagship product profit margins.
Visual Studio Express was offered free as a spoiler to attract developers away from Mono, Ellipse and Anjuta, which are free and non-microsoft.
Oddly enough the Linux community doesn't appear to have made it particularly easy to pursue valuable technologies such as COM, although this can be coded manually.(I think).
Microsoft offers no assistance in porting Windows computers to Linux, and enquiries are met with 'helpful' suggestions on how to rejoin the fold.

The whole thing stinks of frightened mediocrity.

By contrast, Linux finds MS stations transparent, offering the ability to access the entire file system of a MS Windows computer virtually from day one.

24 hours after I started installing Linux, I was able to play MP3 files on a W2000Pro computer through the network from my Linux Server using Rhythmbox.

Truly, the only difficulty which delayed me was locating the defaulted-off MP3 Codecs.

Fat bastards are trying to bully the world basically.

You're kidding, right?
There is an industry standard for C++ and COM programming, and there are powerful, simple Microsoft tools for exploiting these.
What do the Linux Loonies go and do?
"Oh! We'll do our own thing!Everybody is bound to follow suit and learn all our crap once they know it's Linux!"

Dream on, losers.

There's about as much point in Linux-standard C++ as fixing a leaky roof with a gun.
And Mono?
Just look at all the sycophantic coo-ing on the fora, all welcoming Mono's support of C# and VB.NET.
Except their VB.NET is TOTALLY NON-FUNCTIONING, and their C# totally eviscerates this Microsoft invention by depriving it of any RAD tools such as CONTROLS.
What are you supposed to do? Remember all the wizard code for controls? Or better still, LEARN all Mono's control code?
I mean, get real!
Just spend the $200 and get a real IDE!

I wasn't impressed by the apparent lock-up caused by the Eclipse IDE either, but I've just tripled the memory and now the Java environment loads up and runs in seconds.

But I do wish the Linux people would stop being so bloody smug when it comes to getting a straight answer on system requirements.
They are really going to have to talk straight and true if they are to have a chance against the big commercials, because commercial stuff will always come wiht a system advisory, and for a good reason.

I'm beginning to get the idea now.
The Linux stuff isn't bad.
Apparently if you want a 'widget' to add to your Linux /VS programme, you set it up beforehand in a seperate interface builder called Glade.
I'm about to have a try, and suddenly it is all making much more sense.
