A very pleasant policeman came calling; he understood entirely, but was entirely unable to offer any legal action to counter my problem; he did say that I should continue pestering the council, he did say that I should keep my door locked, and he did say that I should keep a written log for use as evidence.
He also said that if anybody made a sustained attack on my front door I should call 999 Emergency at once.

So the stage is set.
Things are brewing nicely. Everything is out in the open, and that is a good thing.
